Joel Suarez ChFC®, CFP®

Joel Suárez has over 20 years’ experience as a financial advisor and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner and has earned the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation.  Joel worked as an accountant in public and non-profit accounting prior to becoming a financial advisor. He has a Bachelors' of Science in Business Administration with degrees in Finance and Accounting from the University of Arizona. 

Joel’s practice emphasizes holistic financial planning that concentrates on retirement, investments, risk management, tax and estate planning areas. Joel conducts financial planning and management workshops at West Texas universities, hospitals, municipalities and other businesses. His diverse client base are business owners, physicians, retirees as well as university faculty, administrators, coaches, hospital, and municipal employees.  With holistic financial planning and a diverse client base, consistent communication is mandatory between the client’s financial and legal team, so that a successful plan may be achieved.  Consistent communication, education and care are hallmarks of Joel’s client service model.

Joel enjoys grilling for family and friends, traveling, riding his mountain bike as well as weightlifting. He and his wife, Sylvia have lived in Lubbock since 1996. Joel is proud to be from Odessa, Texas and a Permian High School alumnus.
